Revolutionary New Technology to Accelerate Healing!
New innovative
technology called Accelerated Recovery Performance (ARP)
stimulates
the nervous system to help relax and elongate muscles
promoting
healing
and less scar tissue formation.
The ARP treatment uses low-voltage current to
penetrate injured muscle
tissue and break down existing
scar tissue. When a muscle becomes
injured, scar tissue can form and restrict
the range of motion. Muscles
concentrically contract (shorten)
for protection after an injury. The
process becomes delayed as long
as the muscle is concentrically
contracted. The ARP uses
electrical stimulation that allows the muscle
to eccentrically
contract (lengthen) as needed for healing.
Electrical
stimulation is greatly beneficial for injured muscles. The
body
is a closed bioelectrical system. Trauma causes
the injured area
to become electrically charged.
Scar tissue develops to contain the
charge of
the injured area and maintain
the body’s overall energy.
The
Physical Therapists at In Touch Physical Therapy have used the recently
purchased ARP
machine on a variety of clients. One such client had suffered
a shoulder
injury. The client regained full shoulder range of motion in just
four
weeks,
as compared to the normal 8 to 12 weeks, and was able to return to
work before
his disability policy expired.
A college
athlete, also treated at In Touch Physical Therapy, had suffered a hip
injury
three years ago. Despite the many treatments she had
at the time of
injury, the injury
was still causing her pain. After only ten therapy
treatments with the
ARP machine, she was able to compete
without pain.
By breaking down the scar tissue
in the hip from
the previous
injury, the ARP
treatment has enabled her to regain the proper
form and technique necessary for
competition and setting personal records.
The
following is a testimonial from a patient who was treated using the ARP
machine:
"I came in with tennis
elbow and after a few treatments with the ARP machine my pain level
decreased by at least
half." Niel Tryhus
