Alicia Fix

Education:
In May 2004, Alicia graduated from an accredited physical therapy assistant program at Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown, South Dakota, with an Associate of Applied Science degree.  She has attended continuing education courses on muscle imbalance, intensive aquatic therpay, yoga, pilates and nutrition to name a few.

Experience:  
Alicia has had a wide variety of training and experience in multiple settings.  These include orthopedics, outpatient, aquatics, long-term care, and pediatrics.  Alicia has training in myofascial release and scar tissue mobilization techniques.  She enjoys working with physical fitness and enhancing patient care with treatments including strengthening and core stabilization exercises.  She also believes in overall health for improved quality of life to enhance their outcomes.

Lifeguard Certification
American Heart Association CPR/First Aid

Interests:
Alicia is very close with her family and enjoys spending time with them whenever possible.  She has been very involved in dance throughout her life and recently was a dance team member for the Sioux Falls Storm indoor arena football team.  She takes pleaseure in spending time at the lake including boating and water skiing.
